6.5.6 Expansion of the capacity of LNG terminal on Krk (HR) above 2.6 bcm/a – phase II and the main evacuation gas pipelines Zlobin-Bosiljevo-Sisak-Kozarac-Slobodnica (HR)

SUB-PHASE II.A

The phase II of the implementation of the project of the main delivery gas pipeline for the transport of gas from the LNG terminal has been divided into two sub-phases. The sub-phase IIA comprises the construction of the gas transmission system Zlobin-Bosiljevo-Sisak-Kozarac

The implementation of the sub-phase II.A of the project of the main delivery gas pipeline will provide the increase of the gas transmission capacity from the LNG terminal up to 3.5 bcm/a.

For the transmission of gas from GN Kozarac to GN Slobodnica and the interconnection with Hungary the existing gas pipelines Kozarac-Slobodnica DN600/75 bar and Slobodnica-Donji Miholjac-Dravaszerdahely DN800/75 will be used.

The technical characteristics and the status of the project of the gas transmission system Zlobin-Bosiljevo-Sisak-Kozarac:
The construction and commissioning of the gas transmission system Zlobin-Bosiljevo-Sisak-Kozarac will be carried out in compliance with the interest of potential users expressed in the binding Open Season procedure for capacity booking at the transmission system entry at the Omišalj entry point and at the Donji Miholjac/Dravaszerdahely interconnection point.

SUB-PHASE II.B

The sub-phase II.B of the implementation of the project of the main delivery gas pipeline for the transmission of gas from the LNG terminal includes the construction of Kozarac-Slobodnica gas pipeline, from GN Kozarac to GN Slobodnica. The construction of this gas pipeline would provide final connection of the LNG terminal and the existing Croatian-Hungarian interconnection gas pipeline Slobodnica-Donji Miholjac-Dravaszerdahely-Varosföld by the new main delivery gas pipeline system Omišalj-Zlobin-Bosiljevo-Sisak-Kozarac-Slobodnica.

The implementation of phase II.B of the project would enable the increase of the capacity of gas transmission from the LNG terminal up to 5.26 bcm/a.

The technical characteristics and the status of the project of the gas pipeline Kozarac-Slobodnica:
  • nominal diameter 800 mm, maximum operating pressure 75 bar, length 128 km; Environmental Impact Assessment procedure of the project has been carried out and a positive Decision on the environmental acceptability of the project has been obtained
The construction and commissioning of the gas pipeline Kozarac-Slobodnica will be carried out in compliance with the interest of potential users expressed in the binding Open Season procedure for capacity booking at the transmission system entry at the Omišalj entry point and at the Donji Miholjac/Dravaszerdahely interconnection point.
