Plinacro and Luka Rijeka have been coordinating logistics for the timely delivery of pipes for the Bosiljevo – Sisak and Kozarac – Sisak gas pipelines

In the new geopolitical circumstances and with the European momentum of the REPowerEU initiative, Croatia is accelerating the strengthening of gas infrastructure to further increase security of supply and flexibility of gas flows. As part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRPP), Plinacro Ltd. has been carrying out the most intensive investment cycle so far - the construction of a new transmission system backbone that connects the LNG terminal on the island of Krk with the interior of the country and strengthens transmission capacities towards Slovenia and Hungary. 
 

 
In this context, on Monday, 19 January 2026, a working meeting of the representatives of Luka Rijeka d.d. and Plinacro Ltd. was held in Rijeka. The participants in the meeting were the representatives of Luka Rijeka d.d., led by the President of the Management Board Duško Grabovac, Member of the Management Board Marko Mišković and the Director of the Sales Sector Nina Kokorović, while Plinacro Ltd. was represented by the President of the Board  Ivica Arar, Director of Development and Investment Division Zoran Bulić and the Director of Procurement Department Matea Vidović.
 
The central topic of the meeting was ensuring undisturbed and timely delivery of steel pipes via the port of Rijeka to the construction sites of the Bosiljevo - Sisak and Kozarac - Sisak gas pipelines, of the total length 122 kilometres. To ensure the planned construction dynamics, Plinacro and Luka Rijeka have considered operational possibilities for increasing the capacity of receiving and shipping pipes. 
 
 
In the interest of the timely implementation of these investments which are strategically important for the energy security of the Republic of Croatia and the region, at the meeting, Plinacro and Luka Rijeka confirmed their readiness to closely coordinate in order to ensure stable logistical support for the project.
