Zabok – Lučko

The gas pipeline Zabok - Lučko DN 700/75 bar is a closed technological system constructed from steel pipes with a nominal diameter of DN 700 and is dimensioned in accordance with the operating pressure of 75 bar. The entire length of the gas pipeline is constructed as an underground installation, with the exception of the construction of overhead facilities at the sites of installation of block stations (BS), launching and receiving scraper traps (MČS) and gas nodes (PČ). It will pass through the area of the Krapina-Zagorje County, i.e. the area of the towns of Zabok and Oroslavje, then the area of the Zagreb County, i.e. the area of the municipalities of Jakovlje and Bistra, the towns of Zaprešić and Sveta Nedelja, and the area of the City of Zagreb. The route of the planned gas pipeline is 36 km long and is expected to be located almost entirely in the corridor of the existing main gas pipeline Zabok - Zagreb DN 500/50 bar and the main gas pipeline Zagreb west - east DN 500/50 bar.

The planned activity includes: The gas pipeline was constructed by the end of May 2026 and put into trial operation in July 2026.

With the construction and commissioning of the gas pipeline Zabok - Lučko DN 700/75, technical preconditions have been created for increasing the capacity of the IMS Rogatec interconnection to the amount of 1,049,117 kWh/h (GCV 25°/0°). During the trial operation of the newly constructed gas pipeline, and until the use permit is obtained, Plinacro will, in addition to the current firm capacity of 322,118 kWh/h (GCV 25°/0°), enable transmission system users to book and use interruptible capacity up to the amount of 1,049,117 kWh/h (GCV 25°/0°) as follows.

The increased capacity at IMS Rogatec, from the current firm capacity of 322,118 kWh/h to the amount of 1,049,117 kWh/h, can be booked as interruptible capacity at regular auctions of interruptible capacities on the PRISMA platform as of 1 July 2026, and such booked capacity can be nominated and used without interruption, except in the event of a possible downtime during the trial operation. Namely, exceptionally if the circumstances of the trial operation require the interruption of gas transmission through the newly built Zabok - Lučko gas pipeline, the use of interconnection capacity will be possible up to the amount of the current firm capacity (322,118 kWh/h), whereby users who have booked firm capacity at IMS Rogatec will use it without interruptions.

By obtaining an use permit for the newly built gas pipeline, the acquisition of which is in the regular procedure, all capacity up to the specified amount (1,049,117 kWh/h) will be offered as firm capacity.
