The Corporate Functions consist of five departments: the Finance Department, the Accounting Department, the Capacity Sales Department, the Investment Management Department and the Procurement Department, covering a very wide scope of work.
STRUCTURE OF CORPORATE FUNCTIONS
The activities of the Finance Department are carried out within four main groups: incoming claims settlement, domestic and foreign currency payment system, payroll account and cashier’s office activities and other jobs of the Finance, Planning and Control Business Unit. The Accounting Department is in charge of associated activities such as finance and management accounting, tax accounting, and cost and management accounting.
The Capacity Sales Department is an organisational unit whose aim is to improve the execution of tasks which are the result of gradual opening and finally the entire liberalisation of the Croatian natural gas market with Plinacro playing a crucial role. The Capacity Sales Department carries out two basic types of activities – the transmission capacities estimate and sale, and the gas transmission system services estimate and sale.
During the implementation of the second development phase of the Plan of Development, Construction and Modernisation of the Gas Transmission System of the Republic of Croatia from 2007 to 2011, the planned investments were in the amount of EUR 443 million. Since the European Investment Bank participates in financing of these investments with EUR 190 million, the procurement procedures for the larger part of investments are being performed in compliance with the Official Journal of the EU. The remaining part of the mentioned procurement procedures is preformed in compliance with provisions of the new Public Procurement Act of the Republic of Croatia. Due to various ways of investment procurement procedures implementation, their large number and large financial value, Investment Management Department deals with procurement subjects related exclusively to all Plinacro’s investments, whether the procurement procedure is performed in compliance with the Official Journal of the EU or the Public Procurement Act of the Republic of Croatia. The Procurement Department carries out all other procurement activities for various needs of the Company, in compliance with the provisions of the new Public Procurement Act of the Republic of Croatia.
